PreRider This training is not currently part of the Texas DPS approved course list and is not currently being offered. Are you interested in learning to ride, but a bit apprehensive? Are you clueless about how to operate a bike? Are you nervous about the prospect of riding a motorcycle in traffic situations? Are you re-entering the sport after many years? Not as quick at beginning a new physical activity as you once were? Never been on a motorcycle before? Are you planning on being a passenger only and have questions about what to do? Our PreRider might be the answer for you. We offer sessions once a month. The class size is small to allow for more individualized attention and to move at the pace most comfortable for each student. In a relaxed, no stress atmosphere, you will be able to ask questions, get advice, and enjoy the interaction with other students who are at the same level of experience. At the conclusion of the class you will have the knowledge to make the decision to continue to the faster paced Basic Rider Course or perhaps attend another PreRider session. We provide the motorcycles and helmets for these sessions. Students are required to bring riding gear as required of all of our classes. Some of the points covered in this all on-bike session are:
You may even have the opportunity to RIDE during this session! Handouts to take with you will be available. Cost of the two hour session is $60.00. If you decide to continue with a Basic Rider Course, $15.00 of this fee will be applied to your Basic Rider Course. To take advantage of this offer, you must register and participate in the Basic Rider Course within 30 days of the PreRider session.
